The Sisters in the provinces of Pune, Trichy, Madurai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Kerala and Amravati run schools for the mentally and the physically challenged children and for the hearing impaired.

Early Intervention programme is conducted to identify the capacity of the children in order to place them in the normal schools and vocational unit.

Our Sisters run day care centres for the poorest section of the population.

Holy Cross higher secondary school for the hearing impaired was started in the year 1982. The teachers use regular academic state board syllabus with speech and auditory training besides extracurricular activities and sports. Our Sisters conduct awareness programme for the parents and medical camps in order to ensure the good health of the students.

Our Sisters run a home for the physically challenged children, conduct community based rehabilitation programme where they provide education opportunities, medical support, crutches, callipers, artificial limbs; they assist them in limb corrections and provide them with prevocational training.

Nepal

In Pokhra, our Sisters work in collaboration with Jesuit fathers in the day care centre for the mentally challenged children. They reflect the values of Christ to the needy through visits and sharing. In Bhairahawa, our Sisters run day care centres for the mentally challenged children. They offer vocational training for the differently abled children.
